Another Mrt observation

There's always a lot of things to see and observe in a Mrt ride. Well, for my case, especially on my way home, cos i spent most of my mrt journey on my way to work, sleeping.

Anyway, saw this girl applying/touching-up her make-up in the train carriage. Well, i really dun feel good to see someone doin that in public. I mean, i equate that to picking left-over morsels from your teeth in public, clipping nails in public, and making out in public. OKOk, the third example is irrelevant..:)

I hereby advise my female readers not to apply the fake colourings in public view ok? Please.. U have nothing to gain at all. yes it may sound like a innocent action that you have to do in public due to lack of time and boredom, but let me tell u the male perspective when they see someone do that. If u are ugly, the males will think, "no matter what u do, u will still be an ugly pig. Please stop wasting resources." If you are pretty, the males will start to hallucinate/imagine/daydream/mindfuck(haha) that pretty face of yours.. haha, so see, nothing to gain. What's a few more minutes meant to you, if you take the effort to spend it inside a public toilet to touch-up your make-up, to make yourself nicer so as to boost your self-confidence? Some things are meant to be done, away from the view of public, make-up is one, and oh, not to mention, bra pulling and adjustments. hahaha...

lim pey WON!!!!!!!!!!!

hello............ lim pey won the Red Dot Design Award (mother-of-all awards for Product design) leh.... hehe... please allow me the chance to have some self-indulgence in my ego-boosting excercise... yah i know it's one of the many other products that had won, but, at least i still win. Who would have thought a simple, humble speakers will win? Thanks to the rest of the designers that help in making this possible... Without u all, this would have been nothing. See, i am not egoistic after all... :)

a little writings

Does any of you have someone, a stranger, that you have to face everyday, which u absolutely hate? I have one. Well i do not need to face her everyday literally, but she will always be around there for me to notice.. well she works in the same office block as me, so we waited at the same bus-stop every morning, took the same bus every morning and walk the same path to the office every morning. But there;s something about her that makes me irritated about. I dunno what makes me feel this way. Maybe it;s the way she walks with front of the feet facing like 45 degrees out, or the look of her haggard face (she confirmed younger than me), or her big protruding eyes? i dunno... but her sight kinda irks me lots.. Yes yes, i know i am bad, but am sure most of you do have someone (a stranger) that you dun like but cant really point out what the reasons might be. Yes i could change my schedules so that i do not have to come across her every morning, but why should i change it just for her? I think i shall continue to wait at the same bus-stop every morning, took the same bus every morning and walk the same path to the office every morning with her so that my blood level will raise, then resulting in better blood circulation. :)

Oh another matter, there;s this website, that is "supposedly" selling legal mp3 online. Well it;s a Russian site. And things in Russia is different. I think an original CD cost really cheap there, just like an original CD cost much cheaper in china than in Singapore. So these ppl who runs the website are able to sell their mp3 for a fraction of what other legal mp3 sites are selling. So along the way, freaking US somehow, forces them to close down. Big brother always is a little jealous of little brothers' ability to achieve things that he fails. Anyway, Russia side agrees under pressure to close the site down. So happy ending for everyone? The US must be freaking proud and happy that their mighty muscle once again prevails, even in other sovereign countries. End of the story is, the Russian site just close down,. move everything to another site, and resumes business again.. whahahahhahaah... i mean, the new site, everything is the same as the old one, just different website... I love ppl's ingenuity.

Nanjing trip

Just back from a work trip to Nanjing.... some snapshots, nothing much, just some views from the hotel room which happens to be the tallest building around the area... Typical of cities, it;s pretty much covered in smog.
Nanjing was pretty much a nice city i must say.. City planning is well-done, hey looks like Singapore, with trees and bushes lining along roads and pavements. Place is clean too, thanks to the numerous cleaners doin their jobs, just like Singapore. Weather is like Singapore too, though less humid.
Oh, why did i post the pic above? Cos this is the same shit that i drank for one of the dinner.. Gosh this thing is crazyyyyyyyyyy... Found out later at the duty free brouchure in the plane. "53% MOUTAI YINGBIN (MOUTAI VIP)MOUTAI YINGBIN (MOUTAI VIP) is the drink to serve to your VIPs. MOUTAI YINGBIN is carefully brewed to an excellent quality that is of a typical MOUTAI flavour."

Bloody hell!!!! 53%.. no wonder my head spins, heart throbbing and body hot after drinking that.. ^&*%^%#$%@. Oh and that small little bottle is almost $100sgd.. Crazyyyyy.....

going to detox a little since coming home.. In china = smoke loads, drink lots.. Smoke loads, cos ppl will offer all the smokers a ciggy once anyone lights up. So at times, even before i finish the current ciggy, u will find another one flying towards your direction. Drinks lots, cos they just love drinking, not in moderation though, They just cant enjoy their alcohol. The Chinese cant stand seeing alcohol in their glasses, so they just have to drink it down, dragging poor ppl like me into their torture. And when there;s no more alcohol in the glasses, they just have to fill it up to the brim and repeat the same shit again... arrhhhhhhHHH..

Property and real estate talk always crop up during meals. They just cant help it. There;s a boom now and i think they deem someone owning properties as a status symbol there.. Who cares... The way they drink and smoke, i think they cant enjoy much of their achievements in their later part of their lives anyway.. heh....

PVS anyone?

well i think they coined this syndrome as "phantom vibration syndrome". Others preferred to call it "vibranxiety". Well it's actually the feeling of thinking your mobile phone is ringing/vibrating in your pocket and the user being compelled taking out his/her mobile phone to check, which most of the time, the phone is really not ringing/vibrating. I am sure many of u do that, taking out your phone to check, especially when you have nothing to do.

kallang oasis to go???!!!

Heard it over somewhere that the government wants the land back, and so thus expects the tenants of the Kallang oasis area o vacate by December.. Kinda sad when i have fond memories of my childhood of the Taiwanese porridge located there. Not like i go there often when young, but the experiences there are special cos of how the architecture was built. Check out the first pic, place was built on the 80s, but it still looks contemporary now aren't it? still remember running along the link way between the structures, knowing the sea is just below me... feels fun when one is young/little at that time...
Seems like authentic childhood landmarks are getting less and less when we are pushing ourselves further into development. Every available land space have to be maximise for profits. Maybe the gabermen have a pricing for each piece of land. Like Land A must yield a profit of how much per square meter. If Land A is not yielding much profits, the establishments there have to make way for better, larger, brighter, more touristy landmarks so as to get more profits. Well in such a pragmatic society like ours, we readily trade souls for money aren't we?
The old has to go to make way for the young and exciting.... that;s what i feel about the current land uses in singapore. But, why does it not applicable to the people who comes out with all these plans? Hmmmm... the old still stays, until when huh???
Updates: Just saw on the news that kallang Oasis is making way for new water sports center.. how exciting.... how many ppl actually make use of the water sports center?? Yes i know, the rich...... The rest of us poor blokes, stand one side and watch, or you can try your luck at the makeshift pre-IR gambling tables at G...Damn happenin lah... Maybe you can end up becoming one of those rich fuckers playing water sports ok..

To serve is to sacrifice

Just heard my Manager mentioned this today. "To serve is to sacrifice", which is in regard to the pay raise of u-know-whos. I totally agree with what he said. To be taking up the posts of leaders of a country, u should be prepared to sacrifice, be it personal time, personal space and also monetary gains. That is what is called "TO SERVE".
To increase pay of u-know-whos as a monetary effort to prevent corruption is utterly unspeakable in my point of view. Where is the morale of a gentleman? Where is the morale of a leader? Even i have morales, even though i cannot be compared to the intellect of those u-know-whos. It;s like me saying to my boss, "Hey, if u dun give me a drastic pay raise, i am goin to sell all the designs to your competitors!" Will i do that? NO, cos i have morales and so should them. If they are really grumbling of low pay, then just leave and "serve" in the private sector, give sincere ppl a chance to SERVE the country!
No wonder a certain group of ppl also want their pay to increase because they say it's harder to hold on to the fucking stick of a certain new design of a certain flying object... Shhesssshhhh,,, Monkey see, monkey do mah!!!
Guess i'll tell my boss tomorrow that it is getting harder and harder to lift up my hands and fingers to click on the mouse and keyboard because designing is getting harder and harder each day unless he paste lots and lots of cash in front of me.

I saw camel toe!!

click pic to see bigger pic of camel toes
I saw a big fat camel toe yesterday on the train... i was sitting and the camel toe's owner was standing. So it was really IN-YA-FACE. 3 reasons i can think of is :-
1) the owner does not have a full length mirror in her house,
2) she was wearing the same pants she had 20 for years when she was a nice pretty hot chick then,
3) she thinks she is sexyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

My answers to the above reasons :-
1) please do not attempt to buy herself the full length mirror so that she can live in perpetual ignorance of her big fat camel toe,
2) please realise that time is every man and woman's enemy, it wrecks havoc on your waistline and every other body parts,
3) ..............................

28 weeks later

OK, another movie related blog entry. Went to catch this show on friday. i would say it;s better than i expected, cos 80% of movie sequels normally are not up to par to their predecessors. Anyway, aren;t goin to talk about the story of the show. What i liked about this one is the nice/unique/gritty camera angles/shots. The many shots of empty London streets brings an air of helplessness and gloom to the show. Add to these, a rather good soundtrack makes this show stands out from the rest of the run-out-of-the-mill zombie shows. Well actually it;s not a zombie show, just that the infected ppl looks like zombies. I would say go for this show, stop wasting money on romantic comedy's which rely on the disgustingly cute casts to sell the shows.

Food for thought

Was watching this show that day. There;s this scene when one of the guys working in the food processing factory slipped and had both his legs totally minced. i was thinking, when such industrial accident happens(i am sure it is common), will the company throws away the whole machine or just give it a thorough scrub(cleans away the human remains), and then continue the production line?

This show really gets me thinking about what really goes into our food, when company needs to meet the demands of mass consumerism. It does puts me off fast food somehow, which is amazing, cos i am a fast food junkie.

CNA Newscaster

Whaaaaaaaa.. Lacy lacy!!!!!!
Shirts getting unbuttoned more and more eh?

Been watching the news more often recently.. Signs of getting old? Anyway, main topic of this post is Andrea Chow... I think i had never felt this hot while watching the news before.. Hmmm, maybe it;s her or maybe just the dinner i am eating. But whao liao, the attire she wore (white shirt underneath, see above pics) that nite was really hot lah!!!! Can see cleavage somemore... Normally i am not a MILF lover, but this time it;s different.. hehe..

your position in your company means nothing.....

your position in your company means nothing when u are the vendor and the opposite party is the client.. u can be a freaking general manager/CEO or whatever, when the client complains, your tail will be in-between your legs if u have one.

That day, i just witnessed the project management person in my company f%$k all the vendors in china. Their positions range from middle to upper level in their company. Same thing can happened to my company cos sometimes we are the client(king), sometimes we are vendors(dog).

I also not sure what i am driving about. I just know, if i travel overseas, if i am the client, i can live like a king. The vendors will go out of their way to make sure everything is ok and they keep the job. If i go as a vendor, heck, i have to even find my own way back to my hotel in strange cities..

Amazing hands-free

Look at this, the simplicity of it makes it all so smart dun u think? Why do u need all the mumbo-jumbo technology of blue-tooth hands-free headsets when u can have a piece of elastic at a hundreds of a fraction of the cost... Yes it;s meant to be a stoopid product to have a laugh at.

I am sure u think it will look awfully stoopid to be seen wearing one of those attaching your phones to your head. But think, when the first few blue-tooth hands-free headsets came out, i am sure many of u will think it;s stoopid to be seen wearing something like that, walking around and looking like u are talking to yourselves.. But nowadays, it;s so common to see ppl doin that, and many ppl are numbed by how common they are that they no longer find it stoopid. So i guess, in life, u are always deemed stoopid when doin somehting different from the masses until it is commonly accepted.
